Chitwan Jungle Safari

 

Overview

Chitwan National Park cover 932 square kilometers of the terai,afford excellent wildlife viewing opportunites and have a wilderness of rich ecosystem that includes mammals, birds, reptiles and water animals of several kinds.
The highlights of this park are the 500 Asian one-horned rhinoceros (One-Horned Rhino) and some hundred nocturnal Royal Bengal Tigers(may that
live in the dense forests of the park.Chitwan National Park have over 300 species of birds have been recorded in the park.

Wildlife activities are managed and escorted by experienced naturalists and shikharis. they include elephant-back safaris, nature walks,dug out canoe excursions, village tours, bird watching and jungle drives; some or all of which can be orgainsed depending on individual interests.

 

Day 1
Arrvie Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

 

Day 2
Today we will starts at 9am for full day sightseeing with two Buddhist Temples(Syawmbhynath & Budhanath) and one Hindu(Pasupathinath) Temple. There will be English speaking guide for you. We will drive from hotel to Pasupathinath, guide will explain about the location and much more about Hinduism and we walk to Boudhanath one of the biggest stupa in world, we will have a lunch break out there in rooftop restaurant and at last we drive to Monkey Temple (Sywambhunnath) from where you can have wide views of whole Kathmandu valley.


Day 3
After breakfast at the hotel drive to Chitwan and Chitwan Lodge (approx 4/5hrs drive). After lunch at the lodge there will be a walk and ox cart ride through Tharu villages. Dinner will be at the lodge. There will be a Tharu dance programme either this evening or tomorrow. Overnight at Chitwan Lodge on full board.

 

Day 4
Early wake up call with tea and biscuits and an early morning elephant safari. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Today there will be a full day of activities including bird watching walk, dugout canoe ride for crocodile spotting. If it is available there will be elephant bathing. Overnight at Chitwan Lodge on full board.

 

Day 5
Wake up with tea and biscuits. Early morning bike ride through local villages/bird watching. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Depart the lodge after breakfast for the drive back to your hotel in Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu Hotel on bed and breakfast.

 

Day 6
Breakfast and departure transfer.

 

Chitwan Weather:
Chitwan has a tropical monsoon climate with high humidity all through the year.The weather in Chitwan is very hot and sunny in spring and summer (March to September) and warm in the evenings. In autumn and winter (October to February) it can still be warm and sunny in the daytime but it can be cold early mornings and evenings.

 

 

Clothing:
Light dull coloured cotton clothes are advisable and a fleece for the evenings. Bright colours should be avoided in the jungle. Long sleeves and long trousers are recommended. It’s a good idea to take a waterproof for early morning activities. Trainers or sturdy trekking sandals are best for footwear.

 

Are you located inside the National Park?
No, we will stays outside the National Park.

 

Is its a tented camp type of lodge?
No, it will be proper lodge but you want to stay in tent camp then please do let us know on your booking.

 

How long will be elephant ride?
It will be one hour through out the jungle.
